Seven Months (Photo Heavy)

The fish pillow photo shoot didn't go as planned. Enjoy this post that is filled with outtakes!

EATING: Yup, still breastfeeding. He does get solids almost everyday now but there still isn't any consistent schedule to it yet. He'll eat just about anything you give him. He clearly knows that spoons and forks are for feeding him. If he sees one anywhere near him then his mouth is open wide waiting. I love to put food on his tray and watch him try to figure it out. It's messy but it's fun. He nurses a lot less frequently these days. He's just so busy with everything else that it just isn't as much as a priority anymore. He really only nurses well when he's sleepy or really hungry. Otherwise it's a snack here, snack there. Breastfeeding him in public is damn near impossible these days! He's so distracted! I have to find a quiet room or go to the car, not out of shame but because he pops on and off so much these days that I'd be flashing a whole lot of nipple if I tried to do it anywhere else.

SLEEPING: He's slowly getting better in this department. There are still those crazy nights that he gets up every half hour and those suck but they are becoming fewer and farther between. Lately he's only been getting up once or twice, sometimes three times max. He sleeps in his crib almost exclusively now, even for naps. He will sleep in his car seat if we're on the go but he's getting easier to put to sleep and he stays asleep for longer periods of time. Hallelujah!

ACTIVITY / MILESTONES: Elliott is still as active as ever! He still isn't doing any hands & knees crawling but he can move when he wants to. He drags himself forward with some speed when he's motivated to. Still rolling all over the place to. He gets up on his hands and knees a lot and rocks back and forth a bit before flopping over. He's much better at sitting up these days. If I put him in a sitting position he can stay there for quite a while before falling over. Sometimes he flops over on purpose, other times he loses balance or strength. He is certainly getting much better at it though. This month, he sat up in a restaurant high chair for the first time and I've propped him up in a shopping cart a few times as well. Exciting stuff!

CLOTHING: He's still the same as last month in this department. He can wear 3-6 month short sleeved onesies, pants and some sleepers. He wears 6-9 month long sleeve onesies and most of his sleepers are this size. I put clothing away on a piece by piece basis. I haven't tried any 12 month stuff on him because all his 6-9 stuff is still pretty big on him. He's still wearing size 3 diapers, Luvs.

*New Category* TEETH: Starting the first of November, I started seeing signs of teeth under his gums. A couple days later, one of his lower central incisors popped through. About a week or so later, his second incisor popped out as well. So at seven months old Elliott has a total of two teeth.
