Three Months Old

Elliott Sawyer is now three months old! Here is a summary of how he's doing these days:

EATING:
He nurses on demand still and I'm perfectly okay with that. He loves to eat and is a pretty 'lazy' eater. He takes his time while at the breast and gets frustrated if I try to unlatch him to early. Nursing in public is still a non-issue. I feed him when he's hungry regardless of where I am. We're doing great in our breastfeeding relationship and I'm extremely happy and proud. He dislikes the bottle still and much prefers his milk straight from the source.

SLEEPING:
He's always in bed by 10:00 PM and he sleeps until at least 6:00 AM but has been known to sleep until 9:00 AM sometimes. It's awesome! He's an amazing sleeper and transfers really well if he does happen to fall asleep somewhere else. I love it!
During the day he still falls asleep pretty easily no matter where he is, especially in his car seat. He naps probably about 3 or 4 times a day, sometimes just short cat naps and sometimes longer ones as well.
I won't stress about a sleep schedule just yet.

As far as positioning, unless he's in something (someone's arms, car seat, swing, bouncer) he MUST be on his belly to sleep and has been since he was two weeks old. I don't worry about him anymore and he sleeps fantastic on his belly!

ACTIVITY:
Elliott is becoming so much more active and awake these days. He really loves to watch mobiles! He has one on his swing, crib and his pack 'n play. He absolute LOVES all three of them and stares contently at them for quite some time (provided he's fed and dry). He also has a plastic toy bar that we put over him when he's playing on the floor that he likes to bat around. He's fantastic at rolling from his belly to his back but he hasn't succeeded in rolling from back to belly yet. He tries very hard to though and I foresee him being able to do it soon. He loves to kick and move around when he's awake. He can pick his head up really well now when he's on his belly although he's still a little wobbly when being held upright. He also loves anything with lights and doesn't get overwhelmed to quickly. He's pretty quiet and only cries if he needs something. He talks and laughs and smiles everyday now! It's amazing!

CLOTHING:
He has outgrown all his newborn clothes now and is actually working his way through his 0-3month clothing. I still mainly put him in 0-3's but I am finding items that are getting small and tight on him. I'm starting to put some 3-6 month clothes on him and while they are a little big and baggy on him I find a lot of them fit him pretty nicely.

As far as diapers go we finished up using the last of our size 1's and he's now exclusively in size 2's. The 1's still fit but he was having a LOT of poopy diaper explosions. I am having much better luck with the 2's in that department.

Shoes, I have no idea because I haven't bought him any new ones since he outgrew his size 0's. I love baby shoes with a passion but it's been so hot I can't put any on him. Just wait until fall and winter!

See him at one week, one month and two months.
