I can not believe that Elliott Sawyer turned six months old on Saturday. On Friday, Adam and I took him to his pediatrician for a check-up and his vaccines. He weighed in at 15 1/2 pounds and is 27 inches long.
EATING: Elliott is still being breastfed most of the time. Occasionally we'll give him something from our dinner plates for him to try to pick up and chomp on. He really loved a piece of broccoli we gave him the other night. He's slowly starting to get the concept of chewing, which is fun to watch. There is very little gagging, which is good. Oh, and he's also a fan of pureed pumpkin. Other than a very little amount of solids however, he nurses pretty frequently still. At least every 2 to 3 hours around the clock.
SLEEPING: Sleeping through the night just hasn't been happening lately. He wakes up anywhere from twice a night to every two hours. On very rare occasions he'll only wake up once. I am usually super tired throughout the day. Naps are still sporadic and unpredictable.
ACTIVITY / MILESTONES: Elliott is one active little baby! Even his pediatrician thought so. He never stopped moving during his appointment and had to be held down for him to check his eyes and ears and, of course, for the vaccinations. He's not super advanced as far as milestones go, probably right on track. He rolls like a champ all over the place, he can sit unsupported for short periods of time, he drags himself along on the ground to get to where he wants to go and is practicing getting up on his hands and knees. No real crawling yet, but he definitely is a mover and a shaker. So much so that when I told the doctor how much Elliott fights sleep, he said that he's an inquisitive child who doesn't want to miss anything and he might just need less sleep than most other infants do. Yay for me... -.-

CLOTHING: He's slowly but surely outgrowing his 3 - 6 month onesies. I find the sleeves are all to short on his 3-6 month outfits so those I have upgraded to the 6-9 month stuff. 6-9 month pants are still huge on him so we're still strictly in 3-6 month for those. Short-sleeve onesies can go either way. For diapers, he's still in size 3 Luvs.

He's so precious!
