It's the fifteenth! You know what that means!
EATING: Elliott still nurses a lot! At least 10 to 20 times a day. It's crazy how many times this child nurses. I can't say he's exclusively breastfed anymore however. He has received a bunch of breast milk bottles over the past couple weeks because I have needed to get a break from him. The other night when I was fed up with his constant nursing I gave him a bottle of formula. Also, he has had baby oatmeal mixed with breast milk a couple times while I was eating dinner. Adam has enjoyed being able to take a more active role in Elliott's eating habits.
SLEEPING: This is probably the thing that has made the most drastic change last month. He used to be a fantastic sleeper! Reading last month's recap, I almost don't remember him sleeping that well. This month has been awful as far as sleep goes. I really hope that changes soon. It's tiring because he has no predictable pattern to when he wakes up. It could be only once a night or he could get up every half hour. I just don't understand. 3:00am seems to be a fairly consistent time to wake up for a quick snack. I've given in a few times and just co-sleep with him after he wakes up the first time. It makes my life easier sometimes although now that he rolls all over the place and I can't always put him in between me and my husband I'm really paranoid that he will fall off the bed. He still is pretty fussy before bedtime and fights sleep to the bitter end most days.
ACTIVITY / MILESTONES: Elliott has made some pretty major strides in this department as well. He can roll in both directions now really well. He can sit in the tripod position for a few seconds at a time. He tries to sit himself up constantly. He loves to put weight on his feet and occasionally will try to take steps if you hold him upright. He can scoot himself forward a bit when he really wants to. He loves to pull his knees up underneath him but he hasn't figured out what to do with his arms yet. I am really not looking forward to this child being mobile though.
He still drools like a maniac, chews on everything and anything, loves to grab at objects and put them in his mouth Last night while in his swing he was crying and said 'Mama'. I know it wasn't legit but it was kind of nice to hear.

CLOTHING: He is still wearing 3-6 month clothes. They fit him great. I haven't tried any 6-9 month stuff on him yet but it all looks huge. I have it out though for when he's ready for it. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of winter stuff that fits him yet and starting last night it has been cold! Luckily, friends and family have offered to let me borrow some items which I am so very grateful for!
See him at one week, one month, two months, three months and four months.

I looooove his name! Elliot and Sawyer are both two names I have lined up for any future kids of mine! :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, hi! I'm your newest follower from a blog hop!
I remember all this. My youngest is 20 months so I should! Enjoy the non-mobile stage while it lasts. :-) I am a new follower from the Mom Blog Monday Hop. Vicky @ www.messforless.net
ReplyDelete@Lindsay - Thank you! We couldn't decide on his name until after he was born. Now I'm very happy with our choice. It suits him. Thanks for following!
ReplyDelete@Vicky - Yes, I also have a 4 year old so I know all about mobile children. I am certainly not rushing him in anyway, just celebrating every change as it comes. Thank you for stopping by and following!
