Balance

Elliott is a very high-needs, inquisitive, active baby. He needs to see and touch just about everything. I fear for his toddler years.

(Don't freak out that my child is a coloring prodigy. I started coloring this picture and she wanted to hold it up while I took her picture.)

Miranda is almost the exact opposite. She's calm, obedient, and prefers quiet activities. She was the easiest baby and toddler I could have asked for.

They balance each other, almost perfectly. It's odd how perfect that happens, regardless of how far apart in age siblings are.

Right now, my family feels balanced. Adam and I compliment each other perfectly and now, so do our kids. Is this what the 'perfect' family is supposed to feel like?

My little guy was like yours as a babe. You're right to fear for the toddler years! lol
