Local Nurse-In

Recently there was a nurse-in at a local mall near me that was organized by Danielle Elwood of Momotics.

My first reaction to this was "Hey! Why didn't I know about a nurse-in? I would have gone!" I was really upset that I didn't find out about it beforehand.

My second reaction was anger. I was angry at the security guard who told the mother to cover up. I was really angry at all the comments being left on the Connecticut NBC Facebook page. Here I was, naively thinking that Connecticut was such an awesome, pro-breastfeeding state.

I truly don't understand the big deal behind nursing in public. I really don't.
Even before I had kids I never would have been offended by a woman feeding her child.
Why are people so scared of breasts when used for their intended purpose?

I see girls of all ages showing off way more of their bodies than any breastfeeding mother I know would.
Six year olds are dressing like sluts and we care that a mother is just 'whipping it out' to feed her baby?!?!?!?! Really?

I'd love for someone to say something to me in public. I dare them to! They will regret it.
