Things have been pretty boring here lately. The weather is starting to get a little bit nicer every day though, which is very exciting. We're dusting off our spring-time toys and getting ready to put them to heavy use! Miranda rode her bike all around the driveway the other day since the backyard is just one giant mud pit right now. The snow banks are disappearing.
We've been slowly but surely preparing the house for our new arrival. We've been doing a lot of cleaning, purging and organizing. We are finally down to an agreed upon list of names that we will bring to the hospital which is pretty exciting. I'm keeping these choices to ourselves to prevent the negative opinions that come with sharing names before the baby is born. Adam and I have one agreed upon favorite that I have a *feeling* will be the name but we have a list of about a hundred different name combination to choose from now. (No lie!)
We've also been preparing for another new arrival as well. This one has scales though! We're expanding our reptilian family soon with the addition of a Bearded Dragon. I'm super excited although I think it will take a while to get over my bug phobia. Adam has promised to help of course though. We're building a custom fake rock structure for the 75 gallon tank we have acquired. So far it's coming out pretty cool looking but we still have a little ways to go with it. I'm at the part where I can't really help anymore since it involves paint fumes. Keep your eyes peeled for updates about it though. We're hoping to have the dragon home and settled by our anniversary since we're calling it our anniversary present to each other. (Yes, I know we're strange.)
My baby shower is on Sunday and some time after that the hardcore preparing for baby can begin. We'll install the car seat and set up the swing and play pen. I have to pack a bag to bring to the hospital and make sure the cameras are all charged and ready to go. I need to pack bags for Miranda to go and stay with Grammy for the time I'll be in the hospital. I need to make sure this house is as sanitized as possible, especially after having Miranda's birthday party on April 2nd! (I can't believe she's turning FOUR but that's another post...)
