Nesting

I enjoyed my short blogging hiatus. I hope I am back now with a renewed blogging spirit. This weekend was very productive. Starting on Thursday, I've been on a huge cleaning and organizing kick. I'm pretty sure that Adam and I have decided to put off moving for a little while longer. The need isn't as urgent as it once was and I think it would be better to wait until after the baby is born. So, on Thursday I worked on Miranda's room. I weeded out all her 3T clothes which she is now to big for. I threw away the 2T/3T underwear she had definitely outgrown. I tossed some junk and some stuffed animals (I have such a love/hate relationship with those things). Her toys are still pretty organized from the last time we cleaned her room. Her clothes are all put away nice and neat. I just need to sell the clothes and shoes she's outgrown. I have a potential buyer, and got a lot of bites on Craigslist about them so hopefully they'll go soon. I also found her old crib bumper and comforter that I want to sell as well. All the baby stuff we have is sorted through and ready to be put away once there is space for them. We'll do that closer to April.

Friday's job was to pull apart my closet and organize that. I moved my dresser into it to help clear up floor space in the bedroom. On Saturday we moved the bedroom furniture around and a TV was even dragged up the two flights of stairs to be placed in our room. Maverick was a little freaked out by all the changes but he adjusted pretty well. So now, both bedrooms are clean and organized and ready to be added to for baby. That makes me very happy. To finish the upstairs I want to pull apart the linen closet and disinfect the bathroom from floor to ceiling. We'll still have the main floor, basement and garage to take care of, which are all pretty major projects and will take some time. That's why I'm glad we're starting now and not waiting until the last minute. Also, Miranda's room will need some minor redecorating to make it a space for both her and Westley. A trip to Ikea is in the future to buy some furniture. I need to get rid of the cruddy dresser that's in her room. I want to replace it with some smaller ones that will fit in her closet and free up floor space.

Sunday was fun. Adam worked on the basement a little bit. He sold some stuff on Craigslist and moved the crib pieces upstairs. We'll set that up later. In the afternoon we headed out to go hang out with my dad and friends and watch the Green Bay Packers game! There was pizza and wings and lots of yummy snacks. It was great when the Packers won and are now going on to play the Steelers in the Super Bowl! Woohoo!

Oh, and I also decided recently that I needed to organize up all my music. That's been pretty time consuming as well. Tedious work, but it will be worth it in the end. I'm excited to have all my favorite country songs on my computer and at my fingertips. However, because I've been so easily distracted with other things this month, I've been terrible at taking pictures. I'll try to take some though to put up on here and share. Maybe I'll show off the new and improved bedrooms! Also, a belly picture would be nice, right?

Okay, I think that's all I wanted to say today. I hope everyone has a great week.
