It's very wet outside today. Yuck, I hate when it's wet. It's almost depressing when it's wet. I can't let Miranda and Maverick out to play. We can't go for a walk down the trail. It's just inside stuff today. Hopefully Miranda will want to do some crafts or workbooks with me. She's still upstairs in her room. Not sure if she's still sleeping or if she's playing or quietly reading books in bed. Either way, I'm enjoying the time down here to myself with my coffee. Heck, even the dog is still sleeping.
Over the weekend, Adam and I went to the casino, Mohegan Sun, to celebrate my brother's birthday. We went to Margaritaville for dinner which was delicious. The balloon guy came around and made Kevin a gigantic balloon hat. The thing was probably close to 6 feet tall. It was so funny to see him walk around the casino with that thing on. Adam and I ended up leaving earlier than everyone else. I just wasn't feeling well, I was tired and the puppy needed to be let out anyway. We both had fun though. We didn't do any gambling either, which was nice.
Speaking of the puppy, he's starting to get pretty big. I can't wait to see how his vet visit goes tomorrow. I'm already thinking of enrolling him in obedience classes and possibly taking him down to a dog daycare or something once a month or so. He desperately needs socialization with other dogs. We're still working on the house training. He has accidents every once in a while but he does have two spots in the yard now where it's almost guaranteed that he'll go if he has to, which is nice. It makes taking him out for potty breaks really easy. I know he'll get the hang of it eventually though. He's smart in the sense that he picks up tricks quickly. He already knows sit, down, paw, sit up, roll over, crawl and speak. It doesn't take long to teach him anything as long as there is food involved. We're still working on some behavioral issues as well which is why I want to get him into classes.
Also, we signed up for Netflix and I'm so happy we did. We were starting to spend a lot of money on Red Box and On Demand movies. Now, we have a set fee a month with two movies out at a time. It's awesome. Plus, Miranda really loves the kid movies that she can watch instantly on my computer. I watched a lot of new movies this week, including Precious, Brothers, The Blind Side and The Invention of Lying. Precious is depressing, Brothers sucked, The Blind Side is an amazing movie and The Invention of Lying was comical.
Well, I think that's about it for now. I'm going to try to write about Maverick's appointment tomorrow so keep an eye out for that. :)
