Things have been quiet around here lately. I was able to spend a lot of quality time with Adam and Miranda. Last Wednesday, there was supposed to be a major 'blizzard' coming our way. The state pretty much shut down the night before in preparation. Nothing happened. . .We had a few flurries but nowhere near what they were predicting. Adam's crew all took a personal day because they didn't want to risk being out on the water if weather did get bad.
Saturday and Sunday we stayed home and spent time together. Saturday morning, we brought Miranda over to my mom's house where they did craft time together making Valentine's Day surprises. Adam spent Valentine's Day pampering me and treating me like a queen. It was heavenly. He ran out to the grocery store to pick up the supplies for my special, surprise dinner. I walked into the kitchen shortly after he got back to find a vase with roses, a teddy bear and a box of chocolates. :) That night he cooked up a delicious dinner consisting of swordfish, asparagus and rice. Yummy! After Miranda was in bed we watched The Princess Bride followed up with Robin Hood: Men in Tights. A very nice, low-key Valentine's Day.
Yesterday Adam had the day off due to President's Day. We were going to take Miranda to a children's museum in the morning but he was lured away by his father to go fishing instead. (Pun intended.) Oh well...Then after Miranda's nap we tried to go out to Walmart to get store credit for her crib which was recalled a while back. We spent two hours there before Adam and I gave up and just took the crib back home. A very frustrating situation all around.
Today I woke up to more snow. Miranda and I are lounging around in comfy clothes watching Playhouse Disney.
LOL!!! I hear ya! 2, 3, 5... make sure they are all asleep!! LOL!
