We've had a fun, eventful week around here.
Tuesday was a relaxing, uneventful snow day. I did some laundry and cleaning, nothing spectacular. Wednesday, Miranda and I joined Nicole for some shopping. On a spur of the moment decision we decided to get our ears pierced again. I got second holes in both ears and she got a third hole on one side. Miranda was not impressed however, so I think we still have a while before she asks to have her ears pierced. Thursday was more cleaning and organizing. I re-did the craft bookshelf which made me feel a lot better. We might do some more crafts now that my brain doesn't explode every time I look at that area. lol
Friday was a girl's night in. Nicole and I got ourselves Friendly's sundaes and watched The Time Traveler's Wife which was a bit confusing but a pretty good movie otherwise. Adam went out to celebrate his dad's birthday and play poker. It was nice to have the house to ourselves and watch a chick-flick.
Saturday, we got a crew together and went out to Lyman Orchard's for their annual Winterfest. They have amazing food there and the free samples they were giving away there were out of this world. We had pie, cobbler, donuts, sauces, dips and much more. Yum! We rode on a horse-drawn sleigh, see some cool ice sculptures, and play in an igloo. We even got to see some cute puppies from Guiding Eyes for the Blind and learn about puppy raisers. I have some great pictures to share with you all! After that we had some family meet up at our house for a fish fry! We ate so much food, it was ridiculous. Luckily, we had extra hands for clean-up so it didn't take long and the house was back in order shortly afterwords. The house still smells like fried fish. lol We were all exhausted and full but Adam, Nicole and I decided to sit down and rent Couple's Retreat from On Demand. It was pretty funny, definitely a great way to end the night.
Sunday Adam had made plans with his father and brother to go to the big hunting and fishing expo that was being held at the Big E. I decided that the baby and I should join them. I knew it wasn't something I would enjoy every part of but I wanted to spend time with my family, expose Miranda to different things and join Adam in things that he enjoys as well. It was a really great day overall. I was able to pet some great dogs there and even hold and snuggle a tiny Labrador puppy. If we had been able to I would have taken him home right then and there. Miranda had a blast as well and was able to see some amazing and different sites. No pictures from this day, unfortunately as I was too busy carrying the squirt on my back in the Ergo to worry about pictures. Afterwords we stopped at the Cracker Barrel for dinner for more amazing food.
I'm glad it's Monday however. I need a break from weekend activities and I'm glad to get back into the regular routine. It's supposed to be a nice day out so I'm hoping to get outside for a walk or something.
Sounds like a great weekend, indeed! I can't wait to see the photos.
