Starting tomorrow I will be blogging about a challenge that I am participating in. It is Dirty Diaper Laundry's 3rd Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge. I am participating in it both as a blogger and a mom and there are daily prompts that I will have to write about. The challenge for me is mostly going to be 'fun' and about trying something new however, the point of the challenge is to prove that cloth diapering can be ridiculously cheap and work for just about every single family out there. You don't need fancy diapers, a fancy washing machine or a dryer. 1 in 3 families struggle to buy diapers for their babies. Watch this video to get a better clue about the situation.
This makes me sad! No baby should have to sit in a diaper to long or have to reuse a disposable. If these families only knew how easy, cheap and practical flat cloth diapers and a couple of covers were they wouldn't have to resort to such measures. That's why this week I will be taking this challenge! Even though I have the fancy diapers, the fancy washer and the fancy dryer. I'm going back to the basics for one week to prove it's possible for anyone.
However, I'm starting this blog post as a way to open up questions about cloth diapers in general. To all my readers, subscribers, friends and family. Whoever happens to be reading this, please feel free to ask me any questions you have about my cloth diapering experience or anything you'd like to know really. If I get enough questions by next week I'll do a Q&A post next Monday after the challenge is over. If I only end up getting a couple I'll just answer them to those people directly. You can ask in the comments or you can e-mail me at apaprikao@gmail.com.
So, be prepared to be barraged with cloth diaper posts this week and I hope to have a good week!
