Hello ladies and gentlemen! It's been about a month and a half since my last blog post, so I thought I'd come on here and send everyone an update!
First of all, it's been really nice not having my blog public anymore. I don't feel like a 'slave' to my blog or feel the need to please anyone. I can go a month and a half without posting and know it's okay. My readers will still be there. I think the public blogging world is just to stressful for me. On the other hand, it does have it's drawbacks. I'm not as motivated to take out my camera and take pictures anymore since the majority of the pictures I took were for my blog. I do still take some pictures but mainly on my phone. I am thinking that if I can find a 35mm lens for my camera, I'll be more apt to use it. I only have a zoom lens at the moment which makes it really difficult to take pictures in tight spaces, such as the house.
Speaking of the house, things are going really well. We pick up a couple decorations here and there, mainly for Elliott's room since it was a little bare. I think I will take some pictures once I get the touch-up painting done. I haven't been motivated to that yet. Since my last update we've been through Halloween and Thanksgiving. Both of which were awesome and went off without a hitch. Adam made a full size coffin to be used as a lawn decoration which was pretty neat. Thanksgiving was shared with family as it should be. We also celebrated my mom's birthday by taking her out to the hibachi which was yummy and fun!
Next up is Christmas, which is my favorite! I love everything about Christmas, especially now that I have children and I get to see their faces light up on Christmas morning after Santa has come and gone. That is the greatest gift I could ever ask for. We put up outdoor lights, we've found our tree, we had a small but amazing tree decorating party yesterday. Our stockings are hung by the chimney with care and it's all just so wonderful and magical! The kids are happy and excited, of course. Most of my shopping is done or at least planned for. It's exciting!
Miranda is doing well at school. She tries her hardest and that's all that really matters to me. She loves going and has made many friends so far. Her teacher is really sweet and loves having her in class. We've been working on teaching her obedience and respect. She's been having a little bit of issues with it but is getting much, much better.
Elliott is as wild and crazy as ever. He's constantly on the move, constantly learning and soaking everything in and constantly talking. It's amazing how much he understands and can communicate. It's a wonderful sight to behold. He still uses a pacifier but usually only when in bed. The biggest news is that recently we switched to cloth diapers, finally, 19.5 months in. I'm loving the switch and I'm so glad I finally did it.
Other than that, all is well. Pets are all fine and well. Adam and I are as happy as always. We are trying to start working out and eating healthier in an attempt to lose some weight. It's a slow progress, but it's progress none the less. I think that's about it! Thanks for sticking with me. I'll try and get some pictures up very soon.
