Sunday morning Elliott took four steps towards me. I picked him up and I started crying because I was so happy that he was finally showing signs of walking. He didn't walk the rest of the day, but I was okay with that. He ended the day by pooping on the potty, but only because we sat him on there once he started making a poop face. I'm not potty training him by any means, but I figured if we could catch it, it was one less diaper to change. When I change his diaper sometimes, I will sit him on the potty for a minute max, but it's only to get him used to the experience. I have no expectations for him to actually go to the bathroom.
Last night when Adam cam home from work we decided to see if he would repeat his step taking. I have about 5 short videos on my phone, but here is the one that I decided to share. He can actually do it!! I'm hoping he'll be walking more than crawling very soon, but at the very least, I'm satisfied that he *can* do it!
Today he turned 16 months old. It was a long wait for this day, but so worth it. So far today, he's still crawling for the most part. He will take a step or two toward something if he wants it and it's close enough. Either way, it's progress!!
Happy 16 Months Little Snuggle Puppy! Mommy is so proud of you!
