Today I'm doing a list of 10 things. There really isn't a set topic for these 10 things, just different topics or products that are on my mind for whatever reason. Enjoy!
1. Adam and I thrive on helping others, sometimes to much. Recently, I offered to watch a friend's dog for two whole weeks. I'd never met the dog and in fact, had only hung out with this friend less than a handful of times. The first couple days were rough, but he seems to be settling down now. After we send him home, we will be watching my good friend's puppy, Sunshine. Fun times!
2. I really, really enjoyed the couple days of cooler weather we had this past week. I could actually sit outside and not sweat my bootie off. This hot, sticky and humid weather is for the birds and I'm over it. Bring on fall!

3. My kids on the other hand, love it. They would spend all day outside playing in the water table, a big bucket we fill with water and the sprinkler. Or for special treats, we get to go to a pool or the beach.
4. We have basic tv channels again. It's been nice to be able to watch the news.

6. Adam and I have huge to-do lists. Except Adam keeps traveling for work, so not much of it gets done.
7. My favorite part of the day? My before bed, cool down shower and then flopping into bed with the a/c on. Yup...heavenly.

9. I can not tell you enough how much I love having a house and a yard of our own. It's our own little slice of heaven.
10. What's next? I'm so anxious for the future while trying to savor the present. I just can't wait to see what life has in store for me next. Life is good!

Random is good. Day two is good. See you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila! Tomorrow might be a bit of a tear-jerker. Sorry in advance.
DeleteIf Fall looked like that around here, I'd certainly be anxiously awaiting it! I wonder where that was taken, those colors are magnificent! And that water table looks like a blast! Certainly a fun way for the kids to cool off in the sun! :)
ReplyDeleteThat was taken in Connecticut where I live. That is what fall looks like here. It is beautiful until those leaves need to be raked up ...
DeleteSheila - I just love these. Your items are so full of gratitude, even though you have a lot going on. I am touched by it and feel reminded that even though my to do lists are long, there are a gazillion reasons on it to be grateful.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Did you mean to post this on Sheila's blog? That's alright. I'll take the compliment anyway! Thank you Cynthia! ;)
