And the thunder rolls...

This morning the sky shook me out of my warm, cozy bed when a vicious thunderstorm rolled through. It was here and gone as quick as a flash but it was still unsettling to wake up to. The only one who slept through it was Elliott ... who happens to still be sleeping.

We are almost completely unpacked, just a few unimportant boxes left to go. Today my goals are to put books on a bookshelf and re-organize and purge the linen closet. There just isn't as much bathroom storage space here as their was at the apartment. As a result, some things that don't get used as much are gonna have to go. If I have time after those two things, I also have to try and get our printer to work again. It's been giving us a lot of issues lately and it might have kicked the bucket. I really hope not though, considering we just bought it not to long ago.

Yesterday we did a lot of work on the upstairs of the house and Adam put the banister back on the wall. This house doesn't quite feel like our home yet. It's getting there. Everyday I wake up here it's a little more real, but it still kind of feels like we're invading someone else's house. It's surreal being in a place that we own. (Yeah, the bank really owns it but you know what I mean.) I wonder how long before this place actually feels like it's our home

I can't wait to pick up some more decorations, area rugs and switch out all the doorknobs! It's the little things.
