Yesterday was the first day of spring, but it felt more like the first day of summer. It's been so gorgeous out here lately!! I've been spending almost NO time indoors because it is just to nice outside. The kids have been getting very dirty everyday and every night is bath night. I love watching my kids get dirty and enjoy the outdoors though. Elliott crawls all over the place and puts everything in his mouth. I get some very interesting looks from people for sure, but I just don't worry like other mothers do. I don't care if he eats a few blades of grass or shoves dirt in his mouth. I don't care how dirty his clothes get or how messy his hands and face are. I don't care that he might fall and get a bump or bruises (within reason, of course). I try and let my kids explore and discover and make their own mistakes without me interfering to much. I let Elliott crawl on concrete and wood platforms, through sand, dirt and mud. It doesn't really bother me. I'm certainly not a germ-a-phobe. It's fun and much less stressful. I watch other moms gripe about their kids getting dirty or helicoptering them on the playgrounds. That's not me. Kids are MEANT to get dirty in my opinion. Why get all upset over it unless they are in dressy clothes?
We've been spending a lot of time at various parks and in the backyard. I don't have many pictures from the outdoors however, but I have a few from days previous that I can share. I know I haven't been as faithful a blogger lately. It's hard when I'm not near the computer and I don't have a laptop of my own. Maybe someday soon though? Who knows...
(NOT MY HOUSE! It's a drive-by photo I took!)
