Sleep Update

Elliott has become a cat napper during the day. Very rarely does he take a nap that lasts longer than an hour. Most of them last between 5 and 30 minutes. It all depends on if, when, where and how I put him down. He's very picky about his daytime napping. It can be a bit of a pain sometimes though because he'll be tired so I nurse him, he falls asleep at the breast, begins to comfort suck (or just unlatch on his own) and so I try to put him down and he's wide awake again ... for 5 minutes. Rinse and repeat, sometimes for hours on end. It's tiring and a little irritating sometimes.

The only thing that makes that all worth it ... he sleeps like a superstar at night! He's sometimes extremely difficult to get down but once he's down he's out for the night. He sleeps from about 9 to 7 most nights. Sometimes longer. It's heaven. How I got so lucky to have two awesome sleepers, I will never know.

Now if only I could convince Miranda to sleep until at least 7! Today she was up before the sun. *Yawn!*
