This weekend was extremely hectic. Our friends, Jared & Becky were getting themselves hitched and we had to be there for both rehearsal and the day of. Adam was appointed a groomsman and Miranda was to be a flower girl. As stressful and exhausting as it was for us, I can't imagine how it must have been for Jared and Becky.
The wedding was beautiful and amazing. Miranda did a wonderful job and she looked so beautiful! I received compliments every time I turned around about how beautiful and well-behaved she was. Talking about ego-boosting!
The worst part was having to leave my son for almost 10 hours and having to deal with the repercussions of that. I didn't pump as much as I should have and that resulted in a significant drop in supply. Besides that fact, he hated his bottle and screamed almost the entire time and made me feel even more like crap. Ever since the day of the wedding though, he's just been fussy and nursing almost non-stop. If he's not nursing, he at least wants to be near me or sleeping on me. Even when he's in my arms, clean and fed, he'll fuss. It's very draining and it has severely messed up our routine.
The biggest thing I learned from the experience is that I never want to leave my son for that long again as long as he's nursing and that I'm really glad our wedding was small. Hopefully I'll be able to get Elliott back into his normal routine soon.
