I am twenty-two weeks pregnant now! Only two more weeks until this little boy reaches the point of viability. Six more weeks until the end of my second trimester and only fourteen weeks until I am able to be delivered. Time is both flying and crawling all at the same time, if that is even possible. Ever since we found out the gender, Nicole and I have been having a blast finding little boy clothes for cheap. We've staked out the local consignment stores, Craigslist and I even splurged on a few sale items at Babies 'R Us. It's so much fun shopping for a new little one. I haven't gone overboard or anything and I've been buying varied sizes. Everything from newborn to 24 months. We bought a big blue bin on clearance at Target to store them all in, at least until after we move. I love it especially when I find anything camouflage or anything that says "little brother" on it. I don't really have any big items left to buy except for a car seat and possibly a new stroller. Miranda's old one has gotten moldy from being in the closed up garage to many times while the dryer is running. I always kind of hated that thing anyway. All that's left to buy is clothes, diapers, wipes, and other little necessities.
Anyway, this week has been pretty easy. I can feel him moving on a daily basis, almost all day. He's very, very active right now. Getting stronger and bigger by the minute. I would imagine he weighs somewhere around a pound now, that's what a lot of the pregnancy time lines are saying. He was 11oz at the ultrasound two weeks ago so 5oz in 2 weeks doesn't seem unreasonable. Especially with all the delicious holiday food I ate. I tried not to overindulge but I also didn't want to hold back either. The holidays are a time to eat heartily and spend quality time with the people who love us. I do dread looking at the number on the scale though.
I have another doctor appointment on Thursday. Normally I wouldn't have another one until the 17th or so, but since I am being forced to switch doctors, I wanted to meet up with my new OB as soon as possible. I hope she's a good as my other doctor.
That's about all there is to report for now. I'm glad the holidays are over and our routine can get back to normal now.
