Today is the day that we remember and thank all of the men and women who have served in our military. The people who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. The video above is a great reminder of all that we have and all that those in the military have to give up to protect us.
My husband spent four years in the Marine Corps so the military will always have a special place in my heart. Right now, Adam's cousin is serving overseas. We made many friends while Adam was active that will always be special to me. A lot of them, I have pictures of on display in my house.
I am so grateful to every person who has helped keep this country free. I will never forget what they did for us. Adam is celebrating today by going out hunting with his father. I can think of no better way for him to spend a day meant for him. I hope while he's out in the woods with his shotgun over his shoulder that he remembers his friends and family, past and present and the time he spent, carrying his rifle through a war. I am so thankful he is home, safe and sound. I pray that many more military members get to experience the same luxury. For those that give the ultimate sacrifice, they will never know how much it means to me and to almost all Americans.
