13 Weeks

I know today isn't Saturday, but I wanted to update about my appointments.

Anyway, today I am 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I had an OB appointment last Monday (the 25th) which went really well. It was just one of those quick check-up appointments. My blood pressure was really high during my first visit so they were really happy to see it had dropped down for my second one. I was nervous stepping onto the scale, afraid to see the number but was pleasantly surprised to see that I had actually lost a pound! I guess that's one of the benefits of having extra weight on at the start of the pregnancy. I'm hoping I can avoid gaining a ton of weight this time around. Then the doctor came in and we talked about the results of my blood tests. Nothing abnormal there, which was good. Last thing she did was check on the baby's heartbeat which was nice and strong in the 160's.

A week after that appointment, I was scheduled to go in for an ultrasound at the hospital. It was for a NT screening. I was a little nervous about this appointment, afraid that they would find something wrong with the baby. Luckily though, everything went smoothly and the baby looks perfect and healthy! The heartbeat was in the 150's this time, which is still normal. Nicole was my ride to the appointment so I, of course, let her come in and see the baby with me. Very exciting! They gave me a few cute pictures which I have scanned. 

So far, everything is looking great and perfect. I'm starting to get very excited about adding another baby to the family. :)
