A weekend of extremes here.
Friday night we went out to the mall. We stopped at Best Buy first and bought a brand new printer/copier/scanner/fax machine. We desperately needed one that did it all and was wireless so that Adam and I could use it from our laptops. Then we went over to Build-A-Bear and let Miranda do her thing. I had received a $5 coupon in the mail for her birthday so I figured, why not. She had a lot of fun. Then we went out to dinner since we usually do not cook on Fridays. We ended up at Ruby Tuesday and it was delicious. Then, Adam went out and hung out by the fire with the neighbors. I stayed in and fell asleep while catching up on my DVR.
Saturday was a day of beautiful weather that we spent mainly making Maverick as tired as we could. He spent a good hour in the morning romping around with the neighborhood dogs. We spent a lot of time outside. While Miranda napped, Nicole and I caught up on some DVR'd shows and Adam took the dog for a walk down the trail. Since the pup was more relaxed when Miranda woke up, I thought it would be the perfect time to go down and introduce him to the dog park. He was unsure at first, but warmed up quickly and did fantastic! Made a lot of friends and the socialization was great.
Sunday we had the March of Dimes walk in the morning and it was raining. Which did not deter us. Nicole, Adam, Miranda and I went and walked anyway. We even brought our dogs with us. By the end, everyone was cold and soaked and tired but it was still a good day. We wrote on a star and placed it in the ground for Quinne. It was nice. The rest of the afternoon was pretty normal for us. Nothing exciting.
Today, I'm not sure what the plan is. It's still a bit cold and wet outside. Even so, I kind of have the itch to go to the dog park anyway. We'll see though. :)
