Miranda's Three Year Appointment

Her appointment was on the 7th, so this update is a little delayed.

Birth: 17.5 inches; 5 pounds 15 ounces
6 months: 26 inches; 14 pounds 13 ounces
1 year: 29 inches; 19 pounds
18 months: 32 inches; 21 pounds 13 ounces
2 years: 34 inches; 22 pounds 10 ounces
3 years: 37 inches; 28 pounds

A good year for growth! In one year she has grown 3 inches and put on just a little more than 5 pounds! She's on her curve, as normal. 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. The doctor gave her a clean bill of health and said that she's right on cue if not advanced for all developmental milestones. He did comment on how talkative she is and that a lot of kids her age aren't saying as much. I don't know how true that is though, I have a lot of friends with children her age and they are almost all as talkative if not more so than Miranda. So, she seems about normal to me. She had to have three vaccines this visit for a couple reasons. One being that I took her to a new pediatrician so he wanted her caught up on their vaccination schedule and two being that a vaccine had been on hold all over the nation and was now available. I was glad to hear that she's doing well though. It put all my fears to rest that her other pediatrician was planting in my head. :)

  1. When Miranda started falling off the growth chart the doctor was going to classify her as failure to thrive and just overall I hated how their office operated and made me feel like a crappy parent. This new pediatrician didn't make me feel that way at all.
