Two month appointment
Okay, sorry this is a little late but I've been very busy and I just now got a chance to sit down and update everyone. Yesterday was miserable. I dropped Adam off at 5:30 in the morning, what a pain that was. Miranda's doctor appointment was at 1:00pm. I made sure to show up a little early since I knew I would have paperwork to do. The doctor said she looks perfectly healthy and is developing right on schedule. She was exactly 9 weeks old yesterday and weighs 10 pounds 1 ounce and is 21 inches long. I talked to her about her spitting up and she suggested that I put one teaspoon of rice cereal in with her bottles to help thicken it up. After the doctor looked at her the nurses came in and gave her her shots. She got two in one leg, one in the other and an oral vaccine. She was definitely NOT happy!! She screamed but luckily I was able to calm her down pretty quickly. After that we went to Walmart to pick up rice cereal, diapers, infant Tylenol, Mylicon, milk, eggs, cereal and juice. When I got home I made sure to give her a dose of Tylenol to help with any pain she may be having and to keep any fever down she may get from the vaccines. I tried to give her cereal in her bottle but what a HUGE pain in the ass it is! It clogs up in her regular nipples, so I tried making an X in the nipple to help it come through. Well, when I did that it comes out too fast for her and it chokes her! I tried to make the X smaller in a different nipple and it still choked her. I didn't know what to do. Well, she ended up crying for three hours straight after that. I finally got her calmed down and asleep at 7:30pm. She slept until 1:30am and woke up until 3:00am then slept until 5:30am. I got her to fall back asleep with me in bed though and we slept until 10:00am! She seemed to have been in a much better mood today and hopefully she'll go back to sleeping all night again tonight. She was down by 7:30pm again so we'll see.
