Well, who knew so much could happen in just a few days. Thursday, I started having some contractions that wouldn't stop. They were accompanied by back pain and pressure so Adam brought me to the emergency room. They put me on the monitor and the doctor checked me. I was indeed having contractions but my cervix was completely closed. That was very good news. They gave me tributerol to stop the contractions and that did the trick. I was feeling much better in no time but they decided to keep me overnight just in case. The baby's heart rate was fantastic the entire time and really easy to find. She cooperated really well. Adam tried to get some sleep at home while I tossed and turned at the hospital but it didn't work well for him either. Luckily when he called into work after picking me up in the morning they told him to stay home and get some sleep. That was so sweet of them. We slept in until early afternoon on Friday. Then we cleaned the house up a bit.
On Saturday I really wanted to get out of the house and walk around. I didn't even care where we went as long as it was somewhere. We saw a car commercial which made Adam ask if I wanted to go car shopping. We were just going out to look though. Not buy! We brought the truck with us to be sure we wouldn't be tempted. The first one we saw that we considered was a 2007 Caliber for $16,900. We passed on to the next dealership though. At Butler Dodge though we were offered a brand spanking new 2007 Jeep Compass for $17,500. We couldn't say no to that. After rebate, trade-in and a $500 deposit after all the financing was said and done we are only paying $16,800! It's an amazing vehicle. Some of the expert opinions say it falls short of Jeep expectations but Adam and I are in love with it. It's safe, reliable and roomy. It's so perfect for us. Plenty of room for everybody. Today we cleaned out the fridge and freezer. Fun stuff.
