Names

I think Adam and I have narrowed down our name choices to six possibilities with three main contenders. Here is the list:

#1: Alora
This is my personal favorite. I have wanted to have a daughter named this for the longest time. Pretty much ever since I've seen the movie Willow. I love the name. I think it is beautiful, classy and unique. Adam likes it but I don't think he's 100% thrilled with it either.

#2: Lydia
This is Adam's favorite. He picked this out a little while ago and has been fighting for it ever since. I do like this name very much. It is pretty and classy with a cute nickname (Liddy). The only thing holding me back from falling 100% in love with the name is a comment someone made saying that it sounds like chlamydia. Ew...

#3: Miranda
This is Adam's other favorite. I also like this name but for some reason it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It makes me think of the Miranda rights and also there is no good nickname for it.

#4: Meredith
Both Adam and I like this name. I do think it's pretty and classy but again, no good nickname for it.

#5: Fiona
Although this name is pretty I think we'll get a lot of Shrek comments and I'm not sure I really want to deal with that.

#6: Alyssa
If I had to pick a true second favorite, this would be it. It's pretty, classy and not too common. I like the nickname Lyssa. That's a name that could really grow with her. I'm not sure how Adam feels about it. I don't think he's thrilled with it though.

So that's our list. I think I'm more inclined to just keep this list around until the baby is born and fit the name to the baby, but we'll see.

Adam is out at the bar tonight. I could have gone and played Bingo with Leslie but I didn't really feel like going out anywhere tonight. I stayed home and cleaned the front half of the house.
