Okay, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but Adam and I are trying to buy a house. We have hit a speed bump in the road to home ownership, but with lots of luck and positive thinking, we might just get the house that we have both fallen in love with and have already put some money into. However, right now we've been pulled into the waiting place. It seems to go on forever, but hopefully it will have good results in the end. It reminds me of the part in Dr.Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"
"The Waiting Place...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for a fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting."
It also reminds me of the other night. I was enjoying a glass of wine while waiting to see if Elliott would fall asleep or not...
He didn't and ended up coming downstairs with us and Adam tried to teach him how to do 'thumbs-up'!
Or waiting until bedtime to clean up the mess my kids make daily.
Or waiting for Scarlett to eat the hairless rat Adam bought for her. Because that thing is UGLY. So ugly, we call it Uggs.
Or my goofy four year old who is all to anxious to turn five TOMORROW! *sigh*
I'm also waiting for Adam to get home from work so I can dress Miranda up in something adorable and drive her out to a park and do a photo shoot with her so that *hopefully* I can put some up tomorrow for you all to see.
Waiting, waiting, waiting. Always waiting...Everyone is just waiting.
