Resolutions .. again.

You know, I haven't actually sat down to think of what my actual resolutions are this year, but I have a good idea.

#1 Live healthier. I don't want to make any astounding predictions and say that I'll lose 'x' amount of pounds, or even exercise 'x' amount of times a week or whatever. All I want to do is live a little bit healthier than I did the year before. Choose a healthier snack during the day. Take a few extra walks downtown. I'd love to complete the "C-to-5k" program although I doubt I'll run every day. Hopefully if I try to be conscience about what I put in my body and the effort I put out a little bit more than I did, it will pay off by the end of the year.

#2 Even though I'm a stay at home mom, I'd like to spend more time with my kids, especially Miranda. I don't even think I've had any real alone time with her since Elliott was born. I want to read to her more. I want to sit down and do school work with her more. I want to play with her dollhouse with her. I want to read books to Elliott to. I want to sit and work on his fine motor skills. Sing him more songs. Be a better, more involved mom in general. Yell less. Not get so overwhelmed so often.

#3 Learn to use our finances more responsibly. Find a part time job that will not only bring in some extra money, but let me use my mind and help me find some satisfaction with myself outside of being a mom.

These are the big ones.
Let's hope these are to lofty of resolutions and that I can try and just live a happier, healthier life.
