2011

Ah yes, it's that time again! Year in review time! I love doing this, even though I'm sure it's tedious for some people to read.

Last Christmas, Adam and I had found out that our newest addition was going to be a boy. We were so incredibly happy at the news. Nicole and I almost immediately went out and bought so many boy clothes! That was a lot of fun. I was worried about who my son would turn out to be and I have to say, that so far, all my predictions have pretty much come true. He's extremely active, hard to handle and just way more intense than Miranda ever was. It was an extremely tough adjustment for me at first, but I think that now I have a much better grasp on how to deal with him. We went to Disney On Ice which is to be repeated again this year since it was so much fun! A few days after the show we received a huge snow storm! So far this winter we have only had one snow storm. Weird! 

Miranda had her first sleepover with her Grammy and Grampy and Adam and I went on a date. I found myself in the hospital for a weekend because of a bladder infection. Baby boy was fine, thankfully, though I had to spend the remainder of my pregnancy on a suppression therapy of antibiotics.

February came and we tried to take Miranda ice skating. That wasn't super successful but I wouldn't have called it a failure either.

Then there was the Super Bowl which was AMAZING since the Green Bay Packers won!!

March brought on my baby shower which was amazing!! We got so much fantastic stuff. We were really able to get the room all set up for him and things were really starting to become real. We took all three animals to the vet and started planning Miranda's birthday party. 

Also, Jayne was added to the family:

April came and that meant that Miranda turned four!

Eleven days after my big girl became a sister ...

Easter was Elliott's first holiday. 

Adam and I celebrated our 6th anniversary at the Renaissance Faire in May!

I went through the first 6 weeks of nursing a newborn and came out the other end, still nursing. Which is more than could have been said for Miranda. 

We watched our cousins get married in New York. 

In June, another birthday passed that Quinne wasn't here to celebrate it with us. 

Elliott got a little bigger, a little stronger.

Miranda was a flower girl in our friend's wedding and I left Elliott for the first time.

Adam got his third tattoo.

The night before the fourth of July we went to a lakehouse with my brother's in-laws. That was a blast!

We celebrated our Independance Day with family at our little cousin's first birthday party. 

August was fairly uneventful. My best friend, my dad and I all celebrated our birthdays.

The beginning of September brought us Irene. That dreadful hurricane that caused a lot of damage wherever she went. 

Elliott fell out of the swing. 

Most of October seemed to be pretty boring. Elliott turned six months old. We went to a wedding for our friends. Adam had a birthday. 

But then we we ended it with a gigantic snow storm that also caused a ton of damage. In fact, it made us lose power for 8 days and we had to spend that week with Nicole in very cramped quarters.

At the very beginning, Elliott got his first two teeth. 

At the end, was Thanksgiving and my brother's birthday.

December brought on a baby that learned how to pull himself before he can hands and knees crawl, Christmas, New Years and epic new technology!!

All in all, it was a really good year! Full of more highs than lows! I can only hope that 2012 brings even better things.
