Adam's foot standing on the drain that is in our backyard.
The power stayed out all night but by early morning it had been restored. We were some of the lucky ones. There are people around that still do not have power back. The next day Adam, the kids, the dog and I all went for a walk around town to see the sights. Here is a recap of what we saw:
The flooding at the end of our road.
Blurry cell pic, sorry. Tree down.
This is the tree that fell in front of my apartment.
Some guy measuring the flow of the Farmington River off of the Unionville bridge.
This is where the water had reached to the day before! Amazing how high it was and how much the water receded already.

Farmington River shot

You may not know it by looking at it, but the water is still very high from what it normally is.

This mini golf course was half underwater the day before.

This is the top of an outcropping next to the Farmington bike trail. Normally it's a big wide circle, fenced in that people fish off of. See if you can find the fence in these next few pictures ...
(Click on them if you'd like to see them larger.)

What, couldn't find it? Here, I'll help...

No, still don't see it? Exactly my point.

Found you at Mehreen's. Looks scary, but looks like you weathered the storm safely for the most part. My cousin lives in minot, nd and she lost her house due to flooding earlier this year. It's been a crazy year for natural disasters!
