At the Orchards

Today we decided to take a trip down to Lyman Orchards and pick some peaches and apples. We wanted to take advantage of the ending peach season and get a few apples to munch on.

The peaches were a little under ripe and few and far between but we ended up coming home with a few pounds. They will ripen up at home and be delicious. I plan on making some peach cobbler!

Miranda had a lot of fun helping us look for fruit and picking what she could reach off of the trees. Of course we sampled a few as we went along as well.

Adam ending up even finding a peach with a 'butthole'. *snicker*

Our friend and his 1 year old daughter tagged along as well.

Miranda wanted to be a big help by carrying the bag for us through the apple trees but it ended up getting to heavy for her quickly.

We ended the trip with a visit to the Apple Barrel store and a visit to the ponies. We bought some apple butter, pumpkin butter and a honey mustard.

What a great end to a long Labor Day weekend!
