Birthday Recap #1

I had a great, wonderful, fantastic and every other awesome adjective weekend! Why's that you say? Well, it's because yesterday was my birthday. I'm officially, ah well, the number isn't important. lol Me and the family celebrated all weekend. I feel very loved! :)

Friday started off normally. Nicole and I did some shopping and Adam came home a little early. Since we were going to spend the night at my brother's house, I ran to the grocery store and picked up the fixings for a tossed salad. Nicole picked up fruit salad. We had to leave the dog behind, but thankfully, my neighbor said she could watch him for us. Nicole ended up leaving her dogs with her parents. We stopped at Walmart on the way there to pick up an air mattress for kids since I felt it would be a little odd putting Miranda in a pack 'n play.

Dinner was delicious. They made stuffed shells and garlic bread. Yummy! We ended up telling Miranda it was like big macaroni and cheese with sauce on it. She loved it. Miranda had to go to bed after dinner, since it was getting pretty late. She ended up missing out on the cake & singing, but that's okay. We made sure she had a leftover piece. She had a hard time settling into her new air mattress until we brought a fan into the room for some white noise. After dinner and dessert we all just hung out, had a couple drinks and had a good time. It was nice to hang out with Tom and Sherri again since we don't see them too often anymore.

  2. I always feel good after a busy day. But I definitely cherish my lazy days too! Its all about balance... or bi-polar behavior one of the two. :) Oh and props to you for staying calm with the whole tissue floor covering re-do!
