A good day

I had a very good, fulfilling day. Anyone who isn't a wife and mother though, really won't get my enthusiasm for all the things I was able to get done. First, I woke up and the house is still clean from yesterday and I'm already in a good mood. Then around 10:30 I decide I want to go out and get some errands done. Well, first we went to get Miranda's hair cut. Her bangs have been in her face for some time now and I finally broke down and decided to get them cut. We went to a place called Snip-its which I found out about from a good friend on my iVillage message board. There is one very close by so I decided to go try it out. It was amazing. They are really geared for kids and did everything to make Miranda's trip enjoyable. At first she was scared and nervous but her hair came out beautifully!!! :) I am so much happier now that her hair isn't in her face and she looks so incredibly cute with bangs!!

From there we went over to Bob's where my neighbor had told me I'd be able to find boots for Miranda. Well, indeed I did and I'm so happy that I finally got that chore over and done with. Now Miranda will be able to go out in the snow with her daddy. :)

Over the weekend I received awesome coupons for a car wash, so from Bob's we went to the car wash. In only a few minutes I had a sparkly clean car and it was all vacuumed inside and everything. Made me REALLY happy. They even vacuumed out the car seat for me. Another chore off my list. Hurray!

Then we went to Friendly's and had lunch. By the time all that was done with it was almost 2:00pm and WAY past Miranda's nap time. When we got home, sleepy Panda peeked open her eyes when I told her we were home. She said "Home?". I told her she could go straight up to bed and she asked "Night night?" I picked her up and she limped in my arms. She didn't move and I just laid her gently in her bed, took her shoes off and her little eyes had already closed. She was so happy to be in her bed. Poor little thing. I only let her sleep until 3:15 though so as not to screw up our entire schedule.

From there we hung out with my neighbor. Miranda *LOVES* being there and I enjoy it also. We talk about just about every topic under the sun and it's nice to have such good company in the lonely hours of the afternoon while Adam is at work.

Miranda was still pretty tired from her day so she was definitely ready for bed on time. What a wonderful day though. I'm very content. Now I'm off to go rot my brain on TLC for the rest of the night.

  1. Glad you had a good day! Miranda looks like she enjoyed her haircut. I saw someone mentioned that on the board too... Luke HATES having his hair cut & I was thinking about trying this place since there's one nearby. Do you mind if I ask how much it cost to get her haircut?Hope the rest of your week goes as well as your day!!!Courtney(sunshyne425 - ivillage)
