Miranda laughed for the first time today. I put her in her crib while I went to get get a new onesie to put on her (since she soaked the one she was wearing) and I decided to play some peek-a-boo with her. Well, she doesn't really like it when you cover her face yet but I was covering up my face and I'd say "Boo!" really loud when I uncovered my face and she started giggling! It was so cute and just about the sweetest sound I've ever heard. Adam was sleeping at the time so I rushed into the living room to get him but of course by the time I went back there she wouldn't do it again. Oh well...we have a whole lifetime of laughs ahead of us.
She's also recently discovered her hands (kinda) she can at least put them up to her mouth when she wants to chew on something. She's pretty consistent about it now.
I've officially figured out the easiest way to get her to sleep at night. I put her in her crib awake but drowsy. I only had to go in there once to rock her and comfort her before she put herself to sleep. Hopefully, she'll get the idea that when she's sleepy and I put her in her crib that it's time to go to sleep.
