This has been a rough few days here at the Orlowski household. Starting on Sunday Elliott was acting extremely fussy! Crying a lot more than usual, chewing / sucking on his hands ALL the time, taking forever to fall asleep, arching his back, and just generally acting out of character. Monday he took a really long nap and that was the last decent nap he took for two days. He started waking up either really early for the day or waking up once at night to eat (which he hasn't done in a long time). I was giving him Tylenol every 4 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday because he was just so bad I was hoping it would help. Sometimes it seemed to and sometimes it didn't.
Yesterday he finally started to calm down a bit. I've started to wear him a LOT since it's been really nice here and I don't feel like either of us will overheat. I even ate at a resteraunt yesterday while he slept in the Beco Butterfly carrier.Wearing him has helped tremendously for both of us. It calms him down, makes him happy and I still have two hands to get things done. It's amazing!
His eating habits are still a little off. Sometimes he refuses to eat and others he cluster feeds for a couple hours at a time. His diapers are all great and he seems satisfied most of the time so I know he's getting plenty. I think we're just going through a tough phase at the moment. Days like this happens sometimes. It seems like we're getting better though, thankfully.
Also, Miranda's been pretty much the exact opposite. She's been really good and well-behaved this week. She is so incredibly helpful around the house and with Elliott! She loves being his big sister and being able to help me out. In the car if he starts crying she sings to him, talks to him, makes 'shushing' noises and even rocks his car seat side to side with her foot. So cute! I love her so much and I am so thankful for her!
